Muscle Spasms, Potassium Deficiency, and Fibromyalgia

Those of us who suffer from Fibromyalgia know all too well the pain we endure on a day to day basis. However if you are experiencing fatigue, and muscle spasms there maybe another reason. Potassium Deficiency or [Hypokalemia.]

Potassium Deficiency is generally not caused by lack of nutrition however people with Fibromyalgia are at a higher risk of having it. Why? Potassium Deficiency is caused by excessive diarrhea, or vomiting, and can be effected by some medications such as drugs related to High blood pressure, Diuretics, and cortisones.

Patients who suffer with fibromyalgia are more likely to suffer from excessive diarrhea due to IBS or other conditions, nausea, and have been on several medications.

Those of us with Fibromyalgia already have excessive pain all over the body so when we get a spasm or too its hard to believe its nothing other than our fibromyalgia. Potassium deficiency if not treated can lead to serious complications and effect the heart.

Listed below are a few symptoms of Potassium Deficiency you should contact your doctor if you are experiencing any of these symptoms:

Dry skin

Muscle weakness

Slow Reflexes

Muscle Spasms

Heart Palpitations

Finding Dr. Right: An Ebook With Us in Mind

Are you tired of looking for the right doctors? If you have fibromyalgia as I do I am sure you have said this over and over. The truth is it is difficult for us to know what doctor is best suited for us before we go and see them.

Determining if the doctor you are going to be seeing is patient friendly, or has your best interest at heart is difficult but most importantly whether or not that doctor specializes in dealing with patients that have FM or CFS.

Well it just so happens that I have stumbled on a great guide designed to assist you with just that- “Finding Dr. Right”. The nicest part of the whole thing is that the ebook is completely free.

All you have to do is download it. The site www.vitals.com helps the average consumer find appropriate health care for whatever ails them. In some cases that can be a lot.

The book is a good resource guide for just about anything. Find the doctors that are best suited for your condition.

The book is a step by step guide on:

What qualities you should look for in the doctor you choose.

What questions you should be asking your doctor on the visit

And it even has a Doctor Diary of terms you should know.

Mitchel Rothschild CEO of Vitals stated:

Quote:

“There is a clear need in the marketplace for a comprehensive patient resource to simplify the search for the right doctor, we hope at vitals that ‘Finding Dr. Right’ will improve the patient experience.”
